Fell Croft is in Pooley Bridge, right on the edge of Ullswater. It's at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, away from the main road. You can walk into the village in a few minutes, and down to the lake from there.
It's a three bedroom house for up to six people. Two bathrooms. It’s got a 3 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean without being luxurious. There are no steep stairs, everything is on one level except for one step down into the living room.
The living room has a wood burning stove. There’s a dishwasher and a washing machine. You get a private garden with a patio. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking on the driveway. No pets allowed.
Pooley Bridge has a couple of pubs and a shop. You can get boats onto the lake from there. For a longer walk, the path along the shore goes for miles.
You’re well placed for the bigger walks. Helvellyn is a serious day out from here. For something less steep, Aira Force waterfall is about ten minutes by car. Dalemain house and gardens are close by too.
Keswick is a 25 minute drive. Penrith is about five miles, with supermarkets and the train station. The M6 is about ten minutes away if you’re coming from that direction.
