Holly House
Holly House is in Pooley Bridge, right in the centre of the village. It's a five bedroom house, sleeps ten. There's a pub and a shop about thirty yards away.
It's been fully refurbished. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. That's useful with a big group.
The garden at the back is a good size. It's quiet and looks out over fields. There's parking on site.
You're a five minute walk from Ullswater shore. The steamer leaves from there. You can get the boat down to Glenridding, which is a nice way to see the lake without driving.
For walking, you're on the edge of the national park. You can drive over Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside and Windermere. Penrith is six miles away for supermarkets and more shops.
Facilities: it has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ in the garden. It's set up for Christmas if you're booking then. No pets.
