Tan Watermillock
Tan Watermillock is in Knotts, near Ullswater. It's a detached house that sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, so it works for a couple of families or a group. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable, not just basic.
The main thing is the view. You can see the lake and the fells from the house. It's quiet here. You're a few minutes' drive from the shore at Ullswater.
Pooley Bridge village is about three miles away. It's got shops, cafes, and pubs for food. There's a pub, the Brackenrigg Inn, about a mile and a half away that does meals. A hotel restaurant is a short walk if you want something a bit more formal.
For things to do, you're right by the lake. You can walk from the door. The Aira Force waterfall is a short drive and worth seeing. The Ullswater steamers leave from Pooley Bridge if you want a trip on the water. For a longer walk, you can drive into the fells pretty quickly.
The house has everything you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed. Bedding is provided. No pets, I'm afraid.
