Waterfall Wood Cottage
Waterfall Wood Cottage is in Patterdale, above Glenridding. It's a stone cottage that sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The 5 Star rating means it's in good order, things are newish and work well.
The main thing is the location. You can walk straight out the door and be on a path up Helvellyn. Or Sunday Crag. Or just along the valley. The cottage is right by a waterfall in some woods, so that's the view and the sound from the garden. It's enclosed, so it's safe for kids. The garden gets the sun in the afternoon.
Inside, it's warm. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner. The furniture is comfortable, not just for show. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi, TV, all that. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars.
Glenridding is a ten minute walk downhill. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a cafe. Ullswater lake is there too. You can get the steamer from there. Aira Force waterfall is a good walk along the lake, about twenty minutes drive away.
If you want to drive out, Keswick is about half an hour. Penrith is the same. You're right in the Lakes so most things are within an hour.
No pets, sorry. The stairs are normal, not a spiral or anything.
