Penfold
Penfold is in Dockray. It's on the quieter side of Ullswater.
It's a two bedroom place. Sleeps four. There's two bathrooms, both with showers. One is downstairs. The front door is level, so it's accessible for wheelchairs up to that point. The bedrooms and main living area are on the first floor.
Inside, it's spacious. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking.
Out the back there's an enclosed garden. It's a good spot. You can store bikes.
The pub is about a hundred yards down the lane. They do food. The nearest shop is about four miles away in Pooley Bridge.
You can walk straight out of the door onto the fells. Aira Force waterfall is a short walk away. The National Trust has trails there, like the Gowbarrow Trail.
Ullswater is close for boats and the steamer trips. You can get to Pooley Bridge, Glenridding, and places like Keswick within about half an hour. For a bigger day out, Penrith is about twenty five minutes by car.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.
