Herdwick House

Herdwick House is in Troutbeck, on a working farm. It's one of the barn conversions at Lowside Farm. It was finished in 2023, so everything is new.

It sleeps twelve people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. It's a four star property, so it's well-equipped.

The kitchen is large and open-plan with a dining area, and there's a separate living room. You get a patio with a garden area. There's parking right outside.

It's on the lower slopes of Blencathra, so the views are very good. You can walk straight out onto the fells from the door. The A66 is close by, which makes getting around easy, but you will hear some road noise.

Keswick is about ten minutes drive away for shops and restaurants. There's a pub about three quarters of a mile up the road. For fishing, golf, or just walking, you're in the right place.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs.

If you have a bigger group, you can book the cottage next door, Tarn Cottage, as well.
