Herdwick House

Herdwick House is a barn we've just finished converting. It's on our farm, Lowside, near Troutbeck. It's new, done in 2023.

It sleeps twelve. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. There's a big open-plan kitchen and dining area, then a separate living room.

You're right under Blencathra. The views from the front are good, just fields and the fell. You can walk straight out from the door. The farm track leads onto the slopes.

We're just off the A66. That means you can get east to Penrith or west to the coast quite easily. Keswick is about ten minutes' drive. They've got all the shops and cafes there. The nearest pub is in Troutbeck, about a fifteen minute walk.

Being a farm, you'll see sheep and hear the birds. It's quiet at night. The parking is right outside the house.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, towels included. The WiFi works. You can bring two dogs.
