Cropple Howe

Cropple Howe is a stone cottage in Threlkeld. It's semi-detached. The main thing is the view. It looks straight out at the fells. You can just sit and look at them.

It's good for four people. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The 3 Star rating means it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home. There's a woodburning stove for colder evenings. The garden is enclosed.

Threlkeld village has two pubs. Both do food and are a short walk. Keswick is about four miles away for shops and the theatre.

You can walk straight from the door onto the fells. Blencathra is right there. For a bigger day out, Lake District National Park has all the information on routes. You're also not far from the northern lakes, like Ullswater.

Inside, there's a TV, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and parking for one car. You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot if you need one.

It's easy to get to from the M6. Useful links: National Trust Lake District and English Heritage for places like Lanercost Priory, which is about a 30 minute drive.
