Rotherwood
Rotherwood is in Portinscale. It's a detached bungalow. It was all done up a few years back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Two bathrooms is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It feels clean and modern.
The main thing is the location. You're about a hundred yards from Derwentwater. The village has a pub and a café right nearby. You can walk out the door and be at the lake or on a footpath in minutes.
Keswick is two miles away by road. You can walk there across the fields, it takes about 40 minutes. It's got all the shops you need. The theatre by the lake is good.
For a day out, you've got Borrowdale down the road, or you can drive to Buttermere or Grasmere, all within half an hour. The Whinlatter forest has mountain biking and walking trails.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids. Parking is on site. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
