This is Buttermere Apartment in Keswick. It's a first-floor flat, good for two people. You get a parking space with it, which is useful as the town gets busy.
It's got a three-star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not luxurious. It's a practical sort of place. You've got one bedroom with a king-size bed, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The living room and kitchen are together in one open plan space.
The main thing is the location. It's about a five-minute walk into the middle of Keswick, so you can leave the car and pop in for a pint or to get groceries. But the flat itself is on a quiet street, so you're away from the noise at night.
You're right in the Northern Lakes. Derwentwater is on your doorstep for a walk or to hire a boat. If you're here to walk, Skiddaw, Blencathra and Catbells are all close by. The drive over Honister Pass to Buttermere and Crummock Water is spectacular, and it's less than half an hour.
Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and all your bedding and towels are provided. The parking is on site.
For planning days out, the Lake District National Park site is very thorough. The National Trust for the Lake District has good information on their local places too.
