Buttermere Apartment
Buttermere Apartment is my place in Keswick. It's a first floor flat for two people, with its own parking space. You can walk into the middle of town in about five minutes, which is handy.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a luxury hotel. The bed is a king size. The shower is over the bath. The living area is all one room with a view of the fells out the window. The kitchen is small, but you can cook a meal in it.
It's on a quiet street. You get the noise from the town during the day, but it's peaceful at night.
For things to do, Keswick has everything you'd expect: pubs, shops, a couple of supermarkets. Derwentwater is a short walk away. You can hire boats there, or just walk around it. For the fells, you've got Skiddaw and Blencathra right there. Catbells is a popular one, just across the lake.
If you drive, the Honister Pass over to Buttermere is about twenty minutes. It's a proper mountain road. The lake there is very good. Keswick Golf Club is a few miles out of town.
In the flat there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. The parking is on site, which is a relief in Keswick.
