Helvellyn House

Helvellyn House is in Keswick. It's a big, modern house we finished in 2021. It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The main living space is open plan: kitchen, dining, and seating area. The appliances are good. There's a second living room too, more of a snug with a fire, and another room next to it that's handy if you've got kids with you. Both have TVs.

You can walk into Keswick town centre in about five minutes. That's the main benefit. You can leave the car. There are pubs, shops, cafes, and a market. The Theatre by the Lake is about a mile and a half away, down by Derwentwater.

For getting out, you're right in the middle of it. Latrigg is basically on the doorstep. Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra, and Helvellyn are all within a half-hour drive for walking or climbing.

If you need a family day, the Puzzling Place or the Derwent Pencil Museum are in town. The Lake District Wildlife Park and The Lakes Distillery are about eight miles away, towards Bassenthwaite.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's an enclosed garden. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
