Otterbield is a house in Keswick. It's on a terrace, a few minutes walk from the town centre. You're close enough to pop to the shops but it's a quiet street.
The house sleeps seven, in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. One bathroom has a shower and bath, the other is a shower room. That helps if there are a few of you.
The layout is on three floors. The stairs are fairly typical for an old house, so they're not the shallowest. Something to be aware of.
Downstairs there's a living and dining room with a woodburning stove. The kitchen has a table and doors out to the back garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You have pretty much everything you'd need inside: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
Location wise, you're right there. The nearest pub and shops are about a quarter of a mile. Fitz Park and the river are even closer.
For days out, Derwentwater is under a mile away. You can get on the lake or walk around it. Classics like Catbells and Latrigg are right on the doorstep for walking. Skiddaw and Blencathra are a short drive.
In the town, there's the Pencil Museum and the Theatre by the Lake. Bassenthwaite Lake and the wildlife park are about a fifteen minute drive.
