Over Brandelhow
Over Brandelhow is on the slopes of Catbells, near Grange. It's a five star cottage, which means it's high spec and comfortable, not just a normal holiday let. The views are very good, south over Derwentwater and down Borrowdale.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two doubles on the ground floor, one with access to the main bathroom. A twin room upstairs has its own shower room. There are two bathrooms in total.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining area, and sitting room all together. French doors open onto a big slate terrace. The floors are solid wood or slate. It's heated by an air source heat pump, so it's warm and the bills are included.
You get a lot of wildlife. Red squirrels and woodpeckers are often in the garden. The access onto Catbells is direct from the property. You can walk down through Manesty Woods to the lake shore at Brandelhow and catch the ferry.
Grange village is about a mile away. Keswick is five miles, so about fifteen minutes by car around the lake. You can launch boats at Kettlewell or Portinscale.
Facilities cover what you'd need: dishwasher, wifi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
