This is 18 Elm Court in Keswick. It's in a quiet bit of town, sort of a little cul-de-sac of cottages. It’s a level five minute walk to the main street, so you don’t need the car for shops or a pub.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s been done up inside, modern, but it still feels like a cottage. The stairs are a bit steep. Not unusual, but worth knowing.
Out the back there’s a small patio garden with a table. You get your own parking space right outside, which is useful in Keswick.
You can walk straight out from the door. There are paths along the river and up into the fells without having to drive anywhere. Derwentwater is about a fifteen minute walk.
For a day out, the National Trust Borrowdale page has good walking ideas. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning routes. Keswick itself has the usual outdoor shops, a cinema, and a few decent places to eat.
It’s got Wi-Fi, a TV, washer, and includes bedding and towels. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I’m afraid.
