Fourwinds is in Keswick, up a quiet cul-de-sac about 15 minutes' walk from the town centre. It's a detached bungalow, so all on one floor. That's handy if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The living room has a wood burner if you want a fire.
The garden's a good size, mostly lawn, and enclosed on three sides. There's outdoor seating and a barbecue. You get a view of Latrigg Fell from here.
Keswick itself is a proper market town. Plenty of shops, pubs, and places to eat. The Theatre by the Lake is there if you fancy a play.
You can walk down to Derwentwater in about 20 minutes. The launch boats there go across the lake. Cat Bells is a popular walk on the other side. For longer walks, the path up Latrigg starts practically from the door.
Further out, you're right in the northern Lakes. Borrowdale and Buttermere are about a 20-minute drive. The A66 gets you to Penrith or the coast in under half an hour.
Practical stuff: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We accept up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
