Fourwinds is in Keswick, in a quiet cul de sac. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's handy if you've got older family members, or just don't fancy stairs.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, so you're not all queuing for one. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean, modern and comfortable. The beds are good.
You can walk into Keswick town centre in about fifteen minutes. The garden is enclosed on three sides. There's a patio with a barbecue and a decent bit of lawn. The living room has a wood burner. The wifi works.
There's off road parking for a couple of cars. You can bring two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You're right on the edge of town. Latrigg Fell is practically at the end of the road if you want a shorter walk with a great view. Derwentwater is about a twenty minute walk.
Keswick has the usual shops, pubs and places to eat. The Theatre by the Lake is nice if you fancy a show. For bigger days out, Cat Bells is a classic walk across the lake. You can get the launch boat from Keswick over to the start of it. Honister Pass and Borrowdale are within a twenty minute drive.
If you're looking for information on walks or heritage sites, these are good places to start: Lake District National Park, National Trust Lake District, and English Heritage for places like Furness Abbey, which is about forty minutes away.
