It's called Burnside Park. It's a pine log cabin on a site just outside Keswick. You can walk into town from it. The cabin is number Loweswater.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating so it's comfortable and clean, not a show home. It's got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it.
You get your own little patio area with a table and chairs. There's a balcony at the back that looks over a small stream. The main view is of the fells, straight up towards Latrigg and Skiddaw.
The site itself is quiet, just a few other cabins around. You can park right outside. There's a pub nearby, a few minutes walk.
Keswick is maybe a fifteen minute walk down the hill. So you've got all the shops and cafes there, but you're away from the main bustle. For walking, you're right at the foot of the fells. You can be up Latrigg in no time. Derwentwater is about a mile away.
Within half an hour you can drive to places like Buttermere, or over Honister Pass. Grasmere and Ambleside are about a twenty minute drive. The Lake District National Park site is useful for planning. So is the National Trust Lake District page for their properties.
No pets allowed, sorry. And it's WiFi, but it's the countryside, so it can be patchy.
