Philip's Cottage
This is Philip's Cottage. It's in Keswick, right on the edge of town. A terraced house on a quiet road by the River Greta. You've got a small enclosed garden out the back, which is handy if you've brought dogs. Speaking of which, we take pets. Up to four, which is a lot, but the garden is secure.
It sleeps four adults, plus there's a small third bedroom with bunk beds for kids. Three bedrooms total, and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a garage you can use for parking a car or storing bikes.
Inside, it's got what you need: a dishwasher, washing machine, a decent fridge-freezer, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
Location is the main thing. You're about a mile from Derwentwater. For walking, you can pick up the paths for Latrigg and Skiddaw literally five minutes up the road. Fitz Park is on your doorstep too, which is good for letting dogs run. If you fancy a swim or a workout, the leisure centre is a short walk away.
It's about a fifteen minute walk along the river into the middle of Keswick. All the shops, pubs, and restaurants are there. There's a decent pub about 500 yards from the cottage if you don't want to go far.
For days out, you're right in the middle of everything. Borrowdale is about ten minutes drive south. Honister Pass is fifteen minutes. Ullswater is maybe half an hour.
