Skiddaw
Skiddaw is an apartment on the ground floor in Keswick. It's one of a group of three. You walk up a few steps from the street to get to it.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, and there's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but you won't find any luxury finishes.
The main thing is the location. You're right in the middle of town, almost opposite George Fisher's shop. The pub is 50 yards away, the shops are a minute's walk. You can leave your car in the parking space opposite and not use it again.
To get to the lake, you walk down through Hope Park. It's a nice ten minute walk. From there you can get on the launches.
If you want the fells, you can walk straight out the door and up. No driving needed.
Inside, it's a decent size. There's a living room with a dining area, and a separate kitchen. It has WiFi and a TV. The bedding is included. There's a cot if you need it.
You can book it together with the other two apartments if you've got a bigger group.
For planning walks, the Lake District National Park site is useful. The National Trust looks after a lot of the land around here.
