Beech End

This is Beech End. It's a cottage in Braithwaite village, up in Cumbria. It's a semi, attached to one other house, but you have your own entrance and a bit of garden out the back.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom between them. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's warm. The owners put in a good heating system, which you'll appreciate after a wet day on the fells.

The stairs are fairly steep. Worth knowing if you've got bad knees or very small children.

You're right in the village. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant all about a two-minute walk away. That's handy. Braithwaite itself is quiet, but it's only two miles from Keswick if you need more shops or a supermarket.

For getting outside, you can walk straight from the door. Causey Pike and Grisedale Pike are right there. The Whinlatter Forest Park is about a mile away, good for mountain biking. You can drive to Derwentwater in five minutes.

There's a games room in an outbuilding. It's got a pool table and some other things. It's nothing fancy but it's dry and it's something to do.

You can bring two dogs. There's parking for two cars on the drive. The garden has a patio with a table and chairs.
