This is 1 Windsor House in Keswick. It’s a ground floor apartment for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so the things inside it are quite nice.
It’s just off the main shopping street, very close to George Fisher’s outdoor shop. You can walk to all the pubs and restaurants in a couple of minutes, but the place itself is quiet. Parking is on site, which is handy because that’s not always easy in Keswick.
There's a small private patio area with a table and chairs if you want to sit outside.
The walk down to Derwentwater is about ten or fifteen minutes, through Hope Park. You can get boats from there. The Theatre by the Lake is on that route too.
For walking, you’re right on the edge of everything. The Northern Fells are one way, Borrowdale is the other. Latrigg is a popular short walk with good views over the town.
Within about half an hour’s drive you’ve got Buttermere and Crummock Water, which are really nice. Or you can head over Hardknott Pass towards Eskdale and the west coast. Grasmere and Ambleside are to the south.
Inside, it’s all been done by an interior designer, so the furniture and things are good quality. There’s a washing machine and WiFi.
