The Coach House is in Keswick, up near Chestnut Hill. It's detached, used to be a real coach house for the big place next door. You can see where the big gates were from the kitchen.
It sleeps ten. Five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well done and comfortable. There are two living rooms, one upstairs and one down. That's useful if you've got kids with you, or just want a bit of space from each other. The kitchen has an Aga and a big table.
You can walk into Keswick town centre. It's about three quarters of a mile, past the river and Fitz Park. Takes 15 minutes. There's a pub about 500 yards away. The town has the usual shops, cafes, and a good market.
You're right in the middle of the fells. Latrigg is basically on the doorstep. Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra aren't far. Derwentwater is about a mile and three quarters away for boats.
For other things to do, the Theatre by the Lake is on Derwentwater. There's the Puzzling Place and the Pencil Museum in town. The Lakes Distillery and the Wildlife Park are up near Bassenthwaite, about an eight mile drive.
