The place is called Blencathra Bank. It's a bungalow near Keswick, on one of the residential streets. It's semi-detached, so you'll hear a bit of normal noise from next door, but it's a quiet spot.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. They've given it a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. Furnishings are decent. You can bring one dog.
You get a nice bit of garden at the front and back. The front garden looks out towards Skiddaw. From the back, you can see Blencathra. There's a conservatory on the back, which is just a nice extra room when the sun's out.
It's about a ten minute walk into Keswick town centre, so you can leave the car. There's private parking right at the cottage.
Inside, you've got the usual things: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it and a shed you can put bikes in.
For getting out, it's all right there. Latrigg is practically on the doorstep. You're in the Northern Fells, so you can head straight up onto the high fells or wander around Derwentwater. For planning, Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District sites have all the maps and details.
Keswick has the usual stuff: shops, pubs, a theatre, the market. It's all walkable from here. If you want to drive, Borrowdale is ten minutes south. Thirlmere and Ullswater are within half an hour.
