This is 11 The Plosh in Keswick. It's a stone terraced cottage from the late 1700s, so it's old and a bit quirky. It's two minutes from the market square.
It sleeps two, across two rooms, one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable but not high-end. The main bedroom is just off the lounge on the first floor with a double bed.
The thing you need to know is the second bedroom. It's a gallery area above the lounge, with two single beds. You get up to it by some steep paddle steps. It's fine for adults, but you have to watch your head. You get a view of Catbells from up there.
The lounge has a gas wood burner that looks real. The bathroom's on the ground floor with a roll-top bath and a shower over it. The kitchen is small but has what you need, and a table.
You can bring one dog. There's a small patio garden out the back. Parking is on-street, but you usually find a space nearby.
You're right in town. Shops, pubs, restaurants are 50 yards away. Theatre by the Lake is a five minute walk. The lake and Derwentwater are about the same.
For walking, you're in the middle of everything. Catbells is straight out the door. Borrowdale and Buttermere are a short drive. The main bus stop for the Honister and Borrowdale routes is at the end of the street.
Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, a TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included.
