The Croft is in Keswick. It's a bungalow on a quiet cul-de-sac. You're about a ten minute walk from the town centre and the same to Derwentwater. It's a level walk, which is handy. From the garden you can see the fells and just a bit of the lake.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Most of it is on one level, which is good if stairs are an issue. There's a twin bedroom downstairs, but you get to it via a few steps from the living room. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The garden is terraced. It's a nice spot to sit out. There's a BBQ. There's parking right outside.
You've got a shop and a pub about half a mile away. In Keswick itself there's plenty more. The lake is close for a walk or to hire a boat. For longer walks, you're right in the northern Lakes. Skiddaw is basically behind you.
If you want to drive, Borrowdale and Buttermere are about twenty minutes. The Honister Pass is nearby. For a wet day, the pencil museum in Keswick is an option, or the theatre by the lake.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. You can bring up to two dogs.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
