Quiet Ways is in Portinscale, just outside Keswick. It's a detached house, so no one attached. The garden is fully enclosed which is useful.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, so it's been renovated and is generally in good order. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are on the ground floor, which some people like. The stairs are fine.
The village is quiet. There's a shop and a restaurant about 100 yards away, and a pub 75 yards the other way. You can walk to Derwent Water in about ten minutes. Keswick is a mile and a half through the fields, or a short drive.
From here you're looking out at Skiddaw, Cat Bells, that sort of thing. The walking straight from the door is very good. You can hire bikes or boats in Portinscale or Keswick.
For facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them, and a stairgate at the top. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
