Long Rose is in Keswick. It's a terraced house on a normal street, not far from the main bit of town. It sleeps six, but it's two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the dining room, so it's best for a family or a group of friends who don't mind that.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and comfortable. There's a dishwasher, wi-fi, all that. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
The back yard is enclosed and you can park a car in it, which is useful in Keswick. The entrance is wheelchair accessible onto the ground floor, but the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs.
You're a five minute walk from the shops and pubs. Fitz Park and the River Greta are just down the road. The Theatre by the Lake is on Derwentwater, where you can hire boats. It's all very close.
For walking, you're right in it. Latrigg and Catbells are on the doorstep. Bigger fells like Skiddaw and Blencathra are a short drive away. The town has all the outdoor shops you'd need.
If you want to drive out, the northern lakes are all within 30 minutes. Bassenthwaite Lake, Buttermere, and Ullswater are all easy to get to. The A66 makes it straightforward.
