La'al Gem
La'al Gem is a bungalow in Keswick. It's semi-detached, the last house in a quiet cul-de-sac. It sleeps three people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower.
Being on the end means you get a slightly bigger garden. It's not huge, but it's private. There are some outdoor games like badminton, and some board games inside.
The main thing is the location. You feel like you're out in a quiet spot, but you can walk into the centre of Keswick in two minutes. The Co-op is right there. Derwentwater is about a ten-minute walk down the hill.
You can walk up Walla Crag directly from the house. It's a steep start but you're up on the fells quickly without needing the car.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's a comfortable base. We allow up to two dogs.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, parking for one car, and all the bedding is provided. There's a cot if you need one. The garden has a patio area.
If you're planning walks: National Trust Lake District and the Lake District National Park Authority sites are useful.
