Derwent
This is Derwent. It's a shepherd's hut on our farm in Millbeck, just outside Keswick. Sleeps two. It's compact but it has everything you need.
It's a proper shepherd's hut, so it's one room. Double bed at one end, kitchenette and table in the middle, shower room at the other end. It's all there. There's a picture window looking out towards Derwent Water.
You're on a working beef and sheep farm. The views are just the fields and the fells. Catbells and Latrigg are right there, and Skiddaw is behind you. You get your own bit of patio outside.
Keswick town centre is about two miles away. Easy drive. All the shops, pubs, and the market are there. There's a local pub about a mile and three quarters away. It's a half hour walk, or a short taxi.
You're right in it for walking. The path onto the fells is practically from the door. Derwent Water is close for boats or a stroll around. For a day out, the National Trust Borrowdale valley is stunning, or you can drive up to Lake District National Park visitor centres for maps and advice.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, warm and functional. It's glamping, so it's a different experience to a cottage. The parking is right next to it. No pets. Sorry.
