Herdwick Heights
Herdwick Heights is on the first floor above a row of shops in Keswick. So the main thing is you're right in the middle of town. You can park the car and forget it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The walls are white and it's just been redecorated so it's clean and fresh. You also get good views from both sides, which is a bonus. The view from the kitchen window looks out over the street towards Grisedale Pike and Causey Pike. From the living room and bedrooms at the back, you see Skiddaw and Latrigg.
Derwentwater is about ten minutes walk down the road through Hope Park. The leisure centre and pool are there too.
Everything you need is basically outside the door. There's a shop fifty yards away and plenty of pubs and places to eat. The pub nearest is about two hundred yards.
For climbing and walking, you're right at the foot of the fells. Walla Crag is a good walk from the door. For a bigger day out, you can get to Borrowdale or Ullswater in about twenty minutes by car. The Whinlatter Forest is about fifteen minutes away for mountain biking.
The place has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's one parking space reserved for you.
