Blencathra is an attic apartment in a building just off the main street in Keswick. It’s one of three holiday lets in the building. You’re up on the second floor.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. The ceilings are sloped because it’s in the attic, so you need to mind your head in places. The view out towards the fells is good.
The location is very handy. You’re opposite the George Fisher shop. The main banks of shops, pubs, and restaurants are right there. You can walk to the nearest bar in about a minute.
To get to Derwentwater, you walk down Lake Road and through Hope Park. It takes about ten minutes. From there you can get on the launches to go around the lake. You don’t really need your car once you’re here. A parking permit for a nearby car park is included.
The apartment has Wi-Fi and a TV. There’s a washing machine. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot if you need one. You share an outdoor terrace with the other apartments.
There are several steps up to the building entrance, and then stairs inside to get up to the second floor.
