Lake Road Heights is an apartment in Keswick. It's on the first floor, set up as a duplex, so there are two sets of stairs. You go up 14 steps from the street to the main door, then another 7 steps inside to the living area.
The main room is big, with high ceilings and a slate floor. The view out the window is over the rooftops towards Cat Bells, which is nice. You don't get a garden, but you do get a private parking space behind the building. That's useful in Keswick.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one has its own shower room, and there's a separate family bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's above a shop, so you're right in the middle of things. The nearest shop, pub, and restaurant are about twenty yards away.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included, and the wifi works.
Keswick is a good base for the northern lakes. You can walk to Derwentwater in a few minutes. For a longer day, Skiddaw is right there behind the town, or you can drive to Borrowdale or Newlands Valley in about ten minutes.
