Bag End
Bag End is a first-floor apartment in the middle of Keswick. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom.
We gave it a proper refurbishment a few years ago. It had been empty for a long time. So it’s got things like a dishwasher and good wi-fi, but we kept the old features like the fireplace and the range. The kitchen has marble worktops. The living room has a nice curved window.
Being in town means you can walk to everything. Shops, pubs, cafes. You don’t need the car if you don't want it. You can walk to the lake and the theatre in about ten or fifteen minutes. For the fells, you can just step out the door and start walking.
There's on-site parking for one car, which is useful in Keswick. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs.
For things to do, you're right in the Lake District. Derwentwater is close. You can drive to places like Borrowdale or Ullswater in under half an hour. The Lake District National Park site is good for walking routes and advice. The National Trust looks after a lot of the local land and houses.
The apartment has a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-finished and comfortable.
