Dairy Lodge
So Dairy Lodge. It’s a ground floor apartment in Keswick, but it feels more like a house because it’s all on one level. You've got your own front door, a garage, and parking right there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's in good order. It’s got a 3 Star rating, which I think means it’s comfortable and clean without being overly fancy.
The best bit is the garden. It's a decent size, patio style, with a sun room off the back. You get the whole thing to yourselves. Good for sitting out.
Location is easy. It’s just across the road from the Convention Centre. You can walk into Keswick town centre in about five minutes, completely flat. All the shops and cafes are right there.
The facilities are what you’d expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot if you need it. It’s a good place for dogs, we accept up to two.
For days out, you’re right in the middle of it. Derwentwater is a short walk. You’ve got Catbells, Skiddaw, all that, right on the doorstep. The Lake District National Park website is really useful for planning walks. The National Trust has all the local houses and gardens if you fancy something a bit less steep.
That’s pretty much it. It’s a straightforward place in a good spot.
