Dairy Lodge
Dairy Lodge is a ground floor apartment in Keswick. It's opposite the convention centre, which sounds a bit odd, but it's quiet and you get a proper garden and a garage. It's all on one level, which is useful.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The beds are good. The sun room is nice when it's sunny but not quite warm enough to sit outside.
You can walk into Keswick in about five minutes. It's flat all the way. The town has everything: pubs, shops, a supermarket. There's a local pub a short walk away too.
For the lakes, Derwentwater is the closest. You can walk from the house down to the shore in maybe fifteen minutes. It's a good base for walking without having to drive every day. Latrigg is an easy start.
If you want to drive, you're right in the middle of everything. Borrowdale is ten minutes one way, Thirlmere and Helvellyn about fifteen the other. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning walks. The National Trust has a lot of the land around here too.
Facilities: everything's included. There's wifi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs, but we ask that they're not left alone in the property. Parking is on site, in the garage or outside it.
