This is 15 Elm Court. It’s an apartment on the edge of Keswick. The building is called Greta Grove Apartments. It’s a modern block with a security entry system.
The place sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so everything is in good order and it’s comfortable. It’s quite spacious inside. There’s a feature fireplace in the living room and the kitchen has oak units. You get a view of the river and Skiddaw from the windows.
Being on the fringe of town means it’s quiet, but you can walk into the centre in a few minutes. There’s a pub nearby. You can also start a walk straight from the door onto the fells, which is handy.
Keswick itself has all the shops and places to eat you’d need. For a bigger day out, Derwentwater is about a ten minute walk. You can get boats there. Golf is available locally at Keswick Golf Club.
Within half an hour’s drive you’ve got a lot of the Northern Lakes. Things like Castlerigg Stone Circle, the lakes at Buttermere and Crummock Water, and the Honister Pass. The Borrowdale valley is close too.
For facilities: there’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding is included and there’s a cot available if you need one. No pets, I’m afraid.
