Apple Barn
Apple Barn is in Applethwaite. That's a couple of miles outside Keswick. It's a detached barn we renovated a few years ago.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and everything works.
The living room and kitchen are upstairs. We did that so you get the view. You can see Skiddaw from the windows. The stairs inside are just a normal flight, nothing tricky.
Outside is a patio with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the evening.
You can walk straight out onto the fells. Latrigg is right there. Blencathra and Catbells are a short drive. Derwentwater is about two miles away. You can hire boats there.
Keswick is an easy walk downhill, about a mile and a half. It takes 25 minutes. Walking back is a bit of a climb. There's plenty of pubs and restaurants. The Theatre by the Lake is nice if you fancy a show.
For a day out, the National Trust has a lot of walks nearby. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning. If you want to drive, the coast at Allonby is about 45 minutes.
It's got the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
