6 Elm Court is a ground floor apartment in Keswick. It's on a quiet estate on the edge of town. You get a private parking space, which is honestly the biggest selling point. Parking in Keswick is a nightmare, so having your own spot is a real bonus.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It got a full refurb a few years back so it's clean and comfortable. It's got a 3 Star rating, which feels about right. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's a good, solid base.
From the living room you can see the Skiddaw range out the back. It's a nice view.
The location is the main thing. You can leave the car and walk into the town centre in a few minutes. The shops, pubs, and cafes are all right there. Or you can walk the other way and be on the fells pretty quickly. You don't really need to drive once you're here.
If you do want to drive, it's a good spot for the Northern Lakes. Derwentwater is a short walk away. You're about half an hour from places like Ullswater and Buttermere. For a bigger day out, the National Trust Lake District site has good information, and the Lake District National Park website is useful for planning walks.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's no pet allowance, sorry. They decorate it for Christmas if you're booking over the holidays.
