Haystacks
Haystacks is in Keswick. It's a bungalow, semi-detached. You can walk into the town centre in about ten minutes. There's a garage and space for two cars on the drive.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The rear garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs. There's a patio out there and you can see the fells.
The Keswick Convention site is right below the property. You can hear it when there's an event on. That's mostly in July. The rest of the year it's quiet.
You're right on the edge of the fells. You can walk straight out of the door onto the paths. For a classic walk, you can get up to Walla Crag from here. In town, there's a shop, pubs, and restaurants about half a mile down the road.
Derwentwater is a 15 minute walk. You can get the launch boats from there. For other things to do, Castlerigg Stone Circle is a few minutes' drive away. The Keswick tourism site has details on local events. For wider walking information, the Lake District National Park site is useful.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a cot, TV, and wifi. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding is included. There's bike storage in the garage.
