Doddick Chase Cottage is a terraced cottage in Scales, Cumbria. It's part of a small row on a working beef and sheep farm. The views up the back towards the fell are very good.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean. The stairs are steep. It's split over three floors, so the bedrooms are up on the first and second floors.
The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath with a handheld shower. The master bedroom on the top floor has beamed ceilings. You get parking right outside, and there's a picnic bench at the front.
The location is handy. It's just off the A66 between Penrith and Keswick. You're about four or five miles from Keswick itself. There's a pub three-quarters of a mile away, and the village of Threlkeld with its restaurants is about a mile and a quarter.
Keswick has the usual things: shops, pubs, a market. You can hire boats on Derwentwater. For walking, you can get onto Latrigg from there, or drive a bit further to Catbells. Keswick Golf Course is less than a mile from the cottage.
If you're looking for a day out, the National Trust has many places nearby. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning walks.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a stairgate. No pets, sorry.
