Apple Cross is in Keswick. It's an end-terrace house, so you've got neighbours on one side. It's about a ten minute walk into the town centre, maybe less.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is on the first floor, and there's a shower room upstairs with the main bedroom. That top floor is just for that bedroom, which is quite nice. It has a TV and views over the rooftops towards the fells.
The house is on three floors. The stairs are normal house stairs, not too steep. The ground floor has a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. There's also a conservatory that looks out onto the garden. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a bike store round the back if you're bringing cycles.
You're really close to everything. Fitz Park and the River Greta are a five minute walk. The main shops, pubs, and restaurants are maybe a seven minute walk. You can easily leave the car.
For walking, you're right in the middle of it. Latrigg and Catbells are on the doorstep. Skiddaw and Blencathra aren't far. Derwentwater is about a mile away, where you can hire boats. The Theatre by the Lake is there too.
Within half an hour's drive you can get to places like Bassenthwaite Lake, the Whinlatter Forest, and the northern bits of Helvellyn. The Lakes Distillery is about eight miles away, near Bassenthwaite.
Facilities: it's got the basics covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the roadside outside, which isn't usually a problem.
