Field House Cottage
Field House Cottage is near Grange. It sleeps two, in one bedroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable. It's a good base. The bed is a king size four poster. The shower is en-suite.
Outside there's a private, enclosed courtyard garden. The view from there is of Maiden Moor and High Spy. You can see them over the wall.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking.
The local pub is about a quarter of a mile away. There are a few other places to eat within a mile. The nearest shop is about four miles away in Keswick.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Derwentwater is very close for boat hires. For walking, you can go straight up into the fells from here, or drive a short way to other starting points. The Lake District National Park site has all the maps and information.
Keswick is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with shops and cafes. For a longer day out, Buttermere and Borrowdale are within half an hour.
No pets. The property is attached to Field House Lodge and Field House Bothy. They can be booked together if you're a bigger group.
