This is Millie’s Cottage, in Keswick. It’s about ten minutes’ walk from the town centre. It's a mid-terrace, stone-fronted place, nothing fancy from the outside.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is on the first floor, the other is a shower room at the back of the house. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it should be clean and comfortable.
The stairs to the top bedroom are steep. Just so you know. There's a small yard out the back with a couple of chairs.
Inside, it’s straightforward. The living room has a gas fire and a bay window that gets the sun in the late afternoon. There’s a big OS map on the dining room wall for planning walks.
The town’s close. You can walk to shops, pubs, and Fitz Park. The park has tennis, a playground, a museum, that sort of thing.
You can start walks right from the door. For bigger walks, you’re in the middle of everything. Derwentwater is about a twenty-minute walk. There’s a cinema and a theatre in town if the weather’s bad.
For a drive out, Borrowdale is about fifteen minutes. Ullswater is maybe twenty-five. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning. So is the National Trust Lake District page for their places.
What’s here: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding’s included. There’s a cot if you need it. No pets, sorry.
