Riverbank is a house in Keswick. It's not right in town, it's a few minutes walk from the main street, down by the river. The river is the Greta. It's outside the back gate. You can hear it when the windows are open.
The house sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. There's a woodburner, and a dishwasher. Parking is on site.
The garden is enclosed. It goes right down to the riverbank, with a gate. It's not huge, but there's space to sit out. You get a good view of Latrigg and Skiddaw from there.
Pets are welcome, up to two dogs. There's a park just the other side of the footbridge, maybe a minute's walk, which is useful for that. It has a play area and cricket pitch.
Keswick centre is about 400 yards away. Everything you need is there: shops, pubs, cafes. Booths supermarket is good.
For walks, you can go straight from the door. Fitz Park is right there. You can walk along the river or up into the fells. Derwentwater is about a twenty minute walk. Castlerigg Stone Circle is a short drive.
If you want to drive, it's a good base. Buttermere and Ullswater are within half an hour. The northern lakes are all accessible.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, WiFi, TV. A cot and highchair are there if needed. Christmas decorations are put up if you're booking over that period.
