2 Windsor House
2 Windsor House is a ground floor apartment in Keswick. It's in a Victorian stone building, so you get the high ceilings and a bay window. We redid the whole place in 2021, so it's in good shape.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
The best thing is the location. You're about two minutes from the main street. You can see George Fisher's shop from the corner. All the shops, pubs, and restaurants are right there. It takes about five minutes to walk through Hope Park down to Derwentwater. You can get a boat from there.
You get your own parking space, which is a big help in Keswick. There's a small private patio area too. Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
From here, you're right in the northern fells. Skiddaw is right there. For a longer drive, Borrowdale is about ten minutes away, and Buttermere is maybe twenty. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning walks. The National Trust also has lots of information on the local area.
