Heatherside

Heatherside is a cottage in Portinscale. It's one of two semi-detached houses together. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got kids or a dog, and you can see the fells from it.

It sleeps five people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. There's a big conservatory on the back which gets the sun.

The garage is useful for storing bikes. You can park two cars on the drive.

The local pub, The Farmer's Arms, is about a hundred yards away. They do food. You can walk down to Derwentwater from the house in a few minutes. The Keswick launch goes from there, or you can hire a canoe.

Keswick is about a mile by road, or you can walk across the fields in twenty minutes. All the shops and cafes are there.

For walks, you can get straight onto Catbells from the village. The cycling around here is very good. A local golf course is about ten minutes away by car.

The facilities are what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. The entrance is level and wheelchair accessible.
