Manesty is a bungalow in Applethwaite, just north of Keswick. It's detached, up a quiet private lane. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The main thing is the view from the lounge and the garden. You look right out over Derwentwater and the fells. It's very peaceful here.
You're about a mile from Keswick. It's an easy drive or a decent walk. Keswick has all the shops, pubs, and the theatre. The local pub in Applethwaite is a five minute walk. It's a proper pub.
The bungalow is all on one level, so no stairs to worry about. The garden is enclosed. We take up to two well-behaved dogs. There's parking for two cars on the drive.
Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi works fine. We've got a cot if you need it. All bedding and towels are included.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. You can walk into Keswick, or up Skiddaw from the back. Derwentwater is about a mile and a half. For longer walks or advice, the Lake District National Park site is useful. If you're visiting National Trust places, like the closest one at Borrowdale, their site has the details.
