Middle Howe
This is Middle Howe. It's a first-floor apartment near Portinscale, about a 30-minute walk from Keswick.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is handy. The main thing about the place is the views. You're up a bit, so you get a good look at the fells from several windows. There's a small balcony with a bench outside the living room.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen's big enough to cook in. There's a table, sofa, TV, and an electric fire. The stairs up to it are fine, just a normal flight.
Outside, there are communal gardens. You can use the garage to store bikes or kayaks. Parking is on site.
Portinscale village is just over the A66. It's flat walking from there, either along Derwentwater or into Keswick. You can get the Keswick Launch from Nichol End marina. For a good walk, Catbells is right there.
Keswick has the usual shops, outdoor gear places, and cafes. The Theatre by the Lake is good if the weather turns.
Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, a washing machine, towels and bedding are included. There's no pets allowed.
