This is Jebel Kasr. It's in Thornthwaite. That's a small village on the edge of Whinlatter Forest. We're about three miles from Keswick.
It's a modern one-bedroom cottage, attached to the side of our house. Sleeps two. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You get your own parking space right outside.
The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end and living space at the other. There's a telly and WiFi. It's all on one floor. The en-suite bathroom has a shower.
You're up in the forest here. The views are really good. There's a footpath from the village straight into Whinlatter if you want to walk or mountain bike. The trails start from your doorstep, basically. We've got a shed if you need to store bikes.
Keswick is your nearest proper town for shops and cafes. Bassenthwaite Lake is about a mile down the road if you fancy being by the water. The nearest pub is also about a mile walk.
If you're planning days out, these are useful: Lake District National Park and Whinlatter Forest.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, towels and bedding are included, and there's parking. Sorry, no pets.
