Upton Down is on the edge of Keswick, on the road that leads out towards Borrowdale. It's detached, sits on its own, and has a parking space for one car.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's got a garden with a patio area.
The cottage has a good set of facilities: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You can walk into the centre of Keswick in about twenty minutes, or it's a couple of minutes in the car. The town has all the shops, pubs, and cafés you'd expect. There's a small supermarket and a good one on the edge of town. The Theatre by the Lake is a nice spot.
You're right on the doorstep for walks. You can get up to Latrigg easily, or drive a few minutes to start on Cat Bells. Derwentwater is a short walk away, and you can catch the launches from there. The Northern Lakes are all within easy reach.
Within a half hour drive you can get to places like Grasmere, Buttermere, and Thirlmere. For wet days, the Pencil Museum in Keswick is an option, or you can drive over to the Rheged Centre near Penrith.
