Carrigbaun

Carrigbaun is an apartment in the old Swan Hotel building in Thornthwaite. It's up on the hill there, so you get a good view out the back.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, well kept and clean. The kitchen is nice. There's a decked area at the back that looks out over the valley towards Skiddaw and Keswick.

Thornthwaite is about three miles from Keswick. Braithwaite village is a short drive away, it's got a couple of pubs, places to eat, and a shop. Keswick has everything else you'd need.

You're right at the bottom of Bassenthwaite Lake. Whinlatter Forest is on your doorstep for walking or mountain biking. You can get to the sailing on Derwentwater in a few minutes by car.

For a day out, Keswick is easy. The Theatre by the Lake is there if you fancy a show. You can walk up Skiddaw, or just drive around and explore. The National Trust has a lot of places nearby like Fell Foot or Borrowdale.

There's parking on site. The garden is shared with the other apartments, it's got a pond. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets.
