Riverholme
Riverholme is in Bassenthwaite village. It's a terraced cottage. There's a stream running right behind the back garden.
It's for four people. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower, the other has twins. They were all done up a few years back so everything's in good order. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The living room has a wood burner, which is useful in the colder months. The kitchen is open plan and has a dishwasher and washing machine. The main bathroom has a separate shower and a roll-top bath.
Outside, there's a small lawn and a terrace with some furniture. It gets the sun in the afternoon. You can hear the stream from there.
The village pub is about a five minute walk. They do food. There's a shop a bit further on.
You're well placed for the northern lakes. Keswick is about seven miles away, for shops and Derwent Water. Cockermouth is about eight miles. For walking, you've got Skiddaw and Blencathra on the doorstep. The Lake District Wildlife Park is two miles away, and the Lakes Distillery is nearby too.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. WiFi and TV. Parking for one car on the driveway. No pets, sorry.
