New Park Farm, Church Cottage is in Ireby. It's a quiet bit of Cumbria, outside the main tourist spots. You can see the Solway Firth and Scotland from here.
The cottage sleeps four. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's a high standard. Everything is good quality.
The living area is open plan with beams and a big window. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
Outside, there's a private garden area for you. The owners have a play area with swings and a slide for kids, and a shared games room in a separate building. There's also a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. You can store bikes in the lockable garage.
You get the basics: WiFi, dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. They leave a bottle of wine and stuff for a brew when you arrive.
The nearest proper villages are Caldbeck, Ireby and Uldale. They all have decent pubs that do food. Keswick and Cockermouth are about a 20 minute drive for bigger shops and more places to eat. The coast at Allonby is about 8 miles away.
For walking, you can just step out the door onto the lanes and bridleways. The Northern Fells are right there. For a specific trip, you could drive to Dash Falls or the church at Lorton. The main Lake District sites like Derwentwater are within a 30 minute drive.
